Quick
You are a brand we love since our childhood. You are an icon. This is how we started our love letter to Quick. The Belgian fast food chain wanted to introduce a new concept to the market, and we wanted to be part of it. Because Quick is a rollercoaster of (guilty) pleasures. And we love that.

We wrote a love letter to express our adoration for Quick. We shared many sweet words, but we also challenged them to think about topics such as acoustics, identity, and free sauce :)

A love letter is cute, but it had to become a strong concept. That's why we based our design on three elements: (Guilty) pleasures, Quality (Burgers), and Belgian (taste).

Pleasure is reflected in the design language and the shades of red. The 'ketchup' tables embody the essence of pleasure (watch the video below). The playful design invites people to sit in various ways, and the shades of red on the tabletops truly catch your eye. The patterns on the tabletops were designed in our HQ and built by our partner Abet Laminati. A party for your eyes. Notice the light dripping from the ceiling? It's a nod to the sauce dripping from your burger, because there's no such thing as too much sauce.

Fritraillette, Bélicatesse, Loïc burger, Quick consistently introduces unique Belgian taste. We also brought a touch of local taste into the interior. The mirror balls at the entrance are a nod to the iconic Atomium. Additionally, we collaborated with Belgian photographer Renaat Nijs. He spent a day in Herstal capturing the local red in some artwork.

The first new Quick opened in Herstal. This is the largest franchise in Belgium. With over a hundred locations, the concept needs to fit everywhere. That's why we created building blocks. Little puzzle pieces that come together according to the locations.

The way we eat and order food is changing. Nowadays, we see riders walking in and out of restaurants with deliveries. It doesn't quite enhance the flow in a restaurant. The riders are in a hurry, and the large backpacks require customers to make way. In Quick Herstal, riders have their own flow. This way, they no longer need to interact with the customers. Moreover, the flow for customers is naturally influenced by using a colour block in the tiles. It's as if they are guided to the touch points.

We really loved designing this new concept. Our personal favourite is the ‘ketchup’ table. Because it’s playful and allows guests to sit together, apart or apart together.
Quick Herstal is showcased in these photos. New concepts will open in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Thanks, Quick!
